Where can you get good inexpensive food in Maui?
I love good food, wondering where is a good place to not a tourist trap in terms of money.
Here is a short list of places we've found in Maui that serve food at reasonable prices and which are not tourist traps: For local food, you can not go wrong with "Da Kitchen" with two locations in Kihei and Kahului. You can also try L & L Drive In. " If you like Mexican food, I recommend "Amigos" Kihei. It is a small "hole in the wall" restaurant on Lipo near South Kihei Road. There, they even use in paper plates, but food service and prices are great. Denny's in Kihei is never a bad choice. If you want off the beaten track and enjoy the place even the locals, I recommend you go downtown Wailuku. It is certainly not a tourist trap. There are four seats in Wailuku we like: If you love food Thai, go to "Saeng" on Vineyard Street in Wailuku. Also on Vineyard Street, you will find Unisan, which serves excellent sushi. Best breakfast Local is "Tasty Krust" on Mill Street in Wailuku. vietmamese For best food on Maui, try Saigon Cafe on Lower Main Street. Our favorite sports bar is the Ale House at the corner of Kamehameha and Alamah in Kahului. garlic parmesan fries Great! By the road to Hana, stop at Charley for a small Paia lunch. It is a tourist trap, of course, but it is not really expensive, and you get to see the gold records of Willie Nelson.
